| Summary |
Set against the backdrop of the stunning Marlborough Sounds in New Zealand, this twisty thriller follows a married couple yearning to escape their oppressive family and start a new life in the perfect place. Maggie Cabbott (Rachelle Lefevre, Under the Dome) flies halfway around the world to join her husband, Tom (Matt Whelan, Narcos), in the idyllic small town where he has been setting up a business venture. Their reunion is short-lived, however, when Tom goes kayaking and doesn't return. Local cop Jack (Matt Nable, Arrow) warns that Tom could not survive long at sea, but Maggie refuses to give up hope. Dodging a tenacious financial investigator (Emily Piggford, The Girlfriend Experience) sent by Tom's wealthy father, Maggie begins to suspect her husband was hiding secrets from her. And the more evidence she discovers, the more she plumbs the dark depths of paradise. |
