| Summary |
Johnny Jones, is a son who follows in his father's show business footsteps. During World War I his father Jerry Jones staged an all-soldier show on Broadway called Yip yip Yaphank. Being a dancer and then wounded in the War, Jerry moves on to being a producer. In World War II his son Johnny Jones, who was his father's assistant, gets the order to stage a new show, called This is the army. His personal life is a bit of a struggle though, because he refuses to marry his fiancee until the war is over. |
