Summary Ellsworth and Emery Kolb were two brothers who built a studio in 1904 at the rim of the Grand Canyon near the start of the Bright Angel Trail. They made their living by photographing visitors walking down down the trail and into the canyon below. This expansive work contains many of the brothers' images of the canyon accompanied with text by Ellsworth. The Kolbs' studio still stands by the end of the canyon, and is today an art gallery and exhibit.
