Summary Amexico, inspired by actual events, is a murder mystery about America's most recent arrivals. Our protagonist, Evelia Dominguez, arrives in the U.S. filling a temporary position as a housemaid for the Muehlhaus family. She witness's their murders by an unknown group of killers, and must continue building her new life around the trauma of these events. Sharing experiences of love, success, and sorrow in a new world, providing a sympathetic view of migrant struggle in America.
