Summary Oil painting of Rev. Charles Brooks, with a gilded wood frame. Painted in the U.S.A. in the 19th century. Framed: ℓ38"h x 33"w x 3-3/8d. Frame is 5" wide. Painting is 30"h ℓx 25"w. ℓ ℓRev. ℓCharles Brooks 1795-1872 on a plaque on bottom center frame. Rev. Brooks is seated in 3/4 profile facing left (his right); his right hand is in his left inside coat pocket. He was the author ℓof History of the Town of Middlesex, Mass. (1855), the first definitive history ℓof Medford, MA. From the collection of the Medford Public Library.
