Summary This map shows the formations of the second Battle of Saratoga, the Battle of Bemis Heights. Generals Morgan and Poor outflanked the British forces. It is controversial whether General Arnold was ever actually on the field of battle, or whether he stayed at the Neilson House headquarters taking care of administrative duties. This map suggests that he took command of some forces.
