Summary |
Specifically drawing on the trade and cultivation in Cuba andℓPuertoℓRico, this 1902 volume educates readers on the varying techniques of planting and harvesting coffee beans. Interestingly, the coffee plant produces bright red cherries with small green beans inside. Once the beans are harvested from the cherries, they undergo an expansion process where they "pop" open, leaving the brown, well-known coffee bean used today. |
