Summary |
The 1946 edition of the Promenade Yearbook from Maryville College of the Sacred Heart. The books were named to signify both the strolls around the campus and the "promenade" from freshman year to graduation. The name can be accredited to students Mary Helen Schaeffer (1940) and Margaret Boland (1940). Within this edition, the faculty and staff, graduating class, and the lower classes are photographed and labeled, as well as various clubs and sports teams from Maryville College in 1946. The 1946 Promenade was dedicated to Our Lady, Queen of the Rosary. ¡The dedication was made in thanksgiving for the end of the war, and with the hope that under her guidance and protection, men may find true and lasting peace. The theme of the yearbook for 1946 was "Our Search for Peace."
