As for us, we have our Court of Miracles. Seedy courtyards to anyone who isn't one of us, but for beggars, mendicants, and paupers, they're real little pieces of heaven. Why miracles? Because every evening they're the site of countless miracles, of course! There are several in Paris, well hidden, near the Rue de l'Egyptienne or the Rue des Forges, another one near the Porte Saint-Denis. But the biggest, most prestigious one, where the Grand Coesre sits, is by Les Halles, at the Fief d'Alby..."
