Summary
A recently widowed Londoner Stephen Lowry is confronted by his housemaid, Lily, with the knowledge that his deceased wife was poisoned. Mr. Lowry, feeling stunned and blackmailed, promotes to head of the housemaids. Eventually, the threat of blackmail is too much for Mr. Lowry and Lily as they struggle to gain control of the situation, with fatal results.
