Summary |
The success of Beatrix Potter's famous The Tale of Peter Rabbit led to many unofficial sequels to the tale, including Louise A. Field's Peter Rabbit and His Ma, published in 1916. In this tale, Peter Rabbit's mother, Mrs. Rufus Rabbit, becomes very concerned about the whereabouts of her children, given the events that happened in Potter's original volume. She sets strict curfews for Peter and his siblings, Molly Cottontail, Flopsy and Mopsy, but things get dangerous when Peter sneaks out of the house and breaks his mother's rules. |
