This book arises from a qualitative research study conducted across five countries (Austria, the Czech Republic, Finland, Slovakia and United Kingdom), into the production practices and research contexts in the ‘social sciences’ and ‘biosciences.’ Through the categories of Boundaries, Time and Togetherness and building on the concept of Epistemic Living Spaces, the volume explores the ways in which contemporary research institutions and careers are gendered, and the impact on subjectivities and experiences of women and men researchers. At the centre of attention lie issues related to normative machineries at work in contemporary research (excellence, application, etc.), the myths of research created through science policy narratives, the impact of audit and accountability regimes on research work and the gendering processes in all of these. 650 7 SOCIAL SCIENCE / General|2bisacsh 700 1 Felt, U.,|eeditor. 830 0 Gender & Feminist Research in Czech Context anthology. 830 0 BiblioBoard Access module. 914 MODID-00000000025_APPID-00000001191_ACID-000000000063368
