The 1966 edition of the Promenade Yearbook from Maryville College of the Sacred Heart. The books were named to signify both the strolls around the campus and the "promenade" from freshman year to graduation. The name can be accredited to students Mary Helen Schaeffer (1940) and Margaret Boland (1940). Within this edition, the faculty and staff, graduating class, and the lower classes are photographed and labeled, as well as various clubs, organizations, and activities at Maryville College in 1966. The 1966 Promenade begins with a memorial to Mrs. Elizabeth S. Rogers, Associate Professor of Education. ¡"The student body expresses its sincere gratitude to Mrs. Rogers for the high ideals and professional values she held as a teacher and instilled in her students. ¡As a teacher, she communicated enthusiasm and joy in teaching to all her students. ¡She knew that the highest function of the teacher is to stimulate thought. Regarding her students as individuals, she was interested in both their personal development and their intellectual growth. She inspired them with the desire and determination to live according to the ideals which she held so precious."
