Summary |
Leo is a successful writer of fabulously popular romance novels, published under the nom de plume Amanda Gris. Needy and demanding, her own romantic life has taken a nosedive since her husband Paco joined the peacekeeping forces in Bosnia in order to escape her. Despising the lucrative fluff she has been writing, she is depressed, drinks too much, tries to commit suicide, and is outraged when her publisher derides the gritty novel she has tried to submit. Her friend Betty suggests that she take up journalism, keeping her other identity secret. Newspaper editor Angel loves her bodice-rippers, but wants her to succeed as a journalist. Can Leo face the truth of her disintegrating marriage? Can she withstand the revelation of her secret? |
|
"Leo writes romance novels - but with a loveless marriage, she finds herself fresh out of inspiration. Angel is a tough and gruff journalist with an iron will and a heart of gold. When their paths cross, they discover something neither had expected - a real-life love affair"--Container. |
