Summary Dalton West approaches the once-great filmmaker, Rock Thomson, and tries to convince him to go up into the forests of Oregon to film a documentary about Bigfoot. West represents several Native American Nations and tells Thomson a film about Bigfoot in their sacred forest will help them stop the greedy foreign interests who want to clear-cut their forest. At first, Thomson is skeptical and refuses. Then West makes him an offer he can't refuse, and Thomson agrees. Thomson and his cinematographer, Smitty, travel to a small town in Oregon and film several interviews (some are whimsical and humorous). Then Thomson discovers what he believes is the secret of how to find Bigfoot. Wanting to deliver a quality film, Thomson puts together an expedition to the secret location where he may find the elusive creature. When things do not go as planned, Thomson has to change his plans and make a crucial decision. That's where the adventure begins. In the end, Thomson finds a lot more than he bargained for.
