A short story first published in 1888,â„“Editha's Burglar is a tale of a young, selfless girl who convinces a burglar not to rob her parent's house. The first editions were illustrated by Henry Sandham, who used a young contest winner named Elsie Leslie as a model for Editha. This volume has a handwritten note from Elsie in the front. |
