Summary Author Frank Bonville dedicated 50,000 miles and three and a half years' worth of research to write this book aboutℓHenry Ford and his business. This edition sold for $1 paperbound, $1.50 clothbound and $3 leatherbound when it was published in 1921. In a preface titled "An Explanation," Bonville claims: "I discovered during my investigation...that Mr. Ford was misunderstood by a large percentage of the working class, this being the natural result of misleading propaganda circulated over the country through the subsidized press." With this work, Bonville sought to sift through all of the false claims and libel promulgated by union supporters or the press and gain an understanding of Henry Ford's real philosophy.
