Summary It starts with a taunt, a barb, a joke...HOMOSAYWHAT? "Making fun of" morphs into angst, then fear then hate, leading to the intimidation, oppression and even murder of those who are deemed inferior. HOMOSAYWHAT contrasts the social, political and religious intolerance shown toward LGBT people in past decades with the present day's legal and growing social acceptance. The film juxtaposes life after much of the fight for gay rights has been won with the hard truth of what it took to get to where the community is today. As the film unfolds the link between the challenges of the past and those of the present may seem surprisingly familiar.
