Summary This book lends the history of Tomás de Torquemada, the Dominican Friar who later became the confessor to Queen Isabella and Grand Inquisitor in the Inquisition. His zeal in expelling crypto-Jews and Muslims from the Iberian peninsula is known to have influenced Ferdinand and Isabella, resulting in at least 250,000 Jews and Muslims being forced to flee Spain.
