Summary |
A naive Jefferson Smith is appointed as a U.S. Senator by a corrupt political party machine. When Smith stumbles across a pending bill which promotes graft, he himself is falsely implicated in the scheme. Smith fights back with a heroic one-man filibuster, ending in the exposure of the guilty parties. |
