Summary A decades-later sequel to "The Hustler." 25 years on, Fast Eddie is now a nattily dressed, silver-haired liquor salesman working the Midwest in his white Cadillac. His neat mustache and smiling deviltry are also employed in his other profession--stake horse to up and coming pool hustlers. One night he sees a kid playing who is so good that Eddie's laboriously buried memories are stirred. Vincent and his girlfriend Carmen have been working minor-league hustles, but with Eddie's help, all three could jump straight into the world of big-money pool, and an upcoming 9-ball tournament in Atlantic City. First, however, Vincent must learn to put the making of money above every other consideration, lure, and temptation in the pool hall. In the process, Eddie and Vincent's relationship erupts into a battle of passion vs. practicality, game theory vs. psychological warfare, where knowledge of human nature is trumps.
