Summary |
Caracas, a metropolis of more than 5 million people, is a land of contrasts: poverty, wealth, consumption extreme oil galore, insecurity and crime records form the identity of this place. Caracas is far from a quiet town. Some do not hesitate to call it the 'killer city.' The statistics are also clear: in 10 years, Caracas became the metropolis of the world's most dangerous, far ahead of Rio or Bogota. Kidnappings, homicides, robberies, and gang-related violence are part of everyday life for the people of Caracas. This documentary takes us to the heart of Venezuela to discover the realities of a South American capital unrivaled in terms of insecurity and violence but also social and economic disparities. We follow the lives of Venezuelans who live in the most extreme situations, to try to understand why this country has become a paradise for some and for others a cemetery. |
