Summary In the United States alone, hundreds of thousands of children are being enslaved and sold for sex. These children are then sold an average of 15 times a day, 6 days a week, totaling 14,040 sex acts a year. The fastest growing and second largest criminal industry in the world today, it generates $9.8 billion. California is one of the biggest hotspots for domestic and international human trafficking because of its large metropolitan population, international borders, rich economy, and extensive portraits This feature documentary recounts true stories of girls and boys who were commercially sexually exploited in California and are now survivors and courageous leaders fighting for the rights of victims worldwide. Highlighting heroic stories from abolitionist and advocates who work night and day to protect children and to put an end to this epidemic, this film shares an empowering message of how each survivor took control of their life, becoming strong leaders and champions of change. From victim to survivor to thriver, these young women and men are dedicated to preventing injustices from happening to others. They seek to change public perception and create a safer environment for children worldwide. This documentary is a call to action that provides viewers with the tools and the knowledge needed to combat this scourge. By creating awareness, it empowers a movement to address this epidemic and support survivors on their path to freedom.
