Biography |
Mathew B. Brady was one of the first American photographers, best known for his scenes of the Civil War. He studied under inventor Samuel F.B. Morse, who pioneered the daguerreotype technique in America. |

Webb Garrison, formerly Associate Dean of Emory University and President of McKendree College, wrote more than 55 books, of which more than a dozen concern the American Civil War. Before his death in 2000, Garrison lived in Lake Junaluska, North Carolina. |
