In this new handbook world-leading experts describe the cutting-edge work and potential for their unique model system. This will be a gold mine for students and scientists from all fields of life sciences"--|cProvided by publisher. 545 0 Bernd Schierwater is a Director ITZ and Professor of Zoology, TiHo University Hannover, Germany. He received his Ph.D. (special honors degree'summa cum laude') from Technical University Braunschweig (TUB), Germany in 1989. He was a Distinguished Sabbatical Scholar at NESCent, Duke University. He was awarded with Senior Ecologist of the Ecological Society of America (2009). His training in evolutionary and ecological genetics has arisen from running laboratories at Frankfurt University (Assistant Professor), Freiberg University (Associate Professor) and Hannover TiHo University (Full Professor) and from working as a Research Associate in different departments at Yale University and also at the AMNH New York (Rob DeSalle lab). He has developed the most primitive metazoan animals, the placozoans, into an emerging model system for next generation biodiversity and cancer research. Hans-Jürgen Osigus is at the University of Veterinary Medicine Hannover, Foundation, Institute of Animal Ecology. 588 0 Print version record. 650 0 Marine organisms. 650 0 Biological models. 650 0 Biology, Experimental. 650 0 Biological systems|xSimulation methods. 650 7 Biological models.|2fast|0(OCoLC)fst00832276 650 7 Biological systems|xSimulation methods.|2fast |0(OCoLC)fst00832344 650 7 Biology, Experimental.|2fast|0(OCoLC)fst00832511 650 7 Marine organisms.|2fast|0(OCoLC)fst01009756 650 7 SCIENCE / Life Sciences / Biology / Developmental Biology. |2bisacsh 650 7 SCIENCE / Life Sciences / Biological Diversity.|2bisacsh 650 7 SCIENCE / Life Sciences / Biology / Marine Biology. |2bisacsh 655 0 Electronic books. 700 1 Schierwater, B.|q(Bernd),|d1958-|eeditor. 776 08 |iPrint version:|tHandbook marine model organisms in experimental biology.|bFirst edition.|dBoca Raton : CRC Press, 2022|z9780367444471|w(DLC) 2021020196 |w(OCoLC)1264172615 914 on1273731421 994 92|bSTJ
