Summary |
Just after William Morris opened his Morris & Co. decorative arts firm in 1861, the unique carving, stained glass, metal-work, paper-hanging, chintz and carpet designs gained great attention. Later known as "the beginning of a new era in Western art," the opening of Morris & Co. led to many important commissions of buildings in London that still display the designs today. This volume details some of Morris' processes and stylistic choices. |
