Summary Thirty years after the cancellation of the landmark science fiction-fantasy The Outer Limits, the property was revived in 1995 on cable's Showtime Network. The revived Outer limits ("the new series") favored human interrelations and suspense over special effects. The content of each episode (organized here by a collective theme) usually explored ethics, philosophy, and "what if?" situations.
